InterPLAY: Creative encounters

​Where do ideas meet? How do people, colours, materials, and energies collide, overlap, or reshape each other? From scientific process to collaborative experimentation; whether 2D, 3D, or something altogether unexpected, this exhibition invites artists in any medium to push boundaries and reveal unexpected connections.

Call for Entries: overview
​All are invited to submit a digital image of their work for
consideration. The exhibition will be curated, and if your work is selected, you will be asked to prepare your piece for hanging. A $20 entry fee is requested for each piece accepted into the show. Submission deadline: Monday, Feb.9, 2026.

Important Dates
Digital submissions: by Monday, Feb. 9, 2026
Acceptance notification: by Friday, Feb.13, 2026
Works submitted for hanging: by Monday, Feb. 23, 2026
Exhibition opening: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026
Exhibition ends: Early May, 2026

Entry guidelines

Submission deadline: Submit an image of your work(s) with a
few words about your inspiration, media, and dimensions to ganartsprograms@gmail.com by Monday, Feb.9, 2026 -
Up to 3 works may be submitted for consideration. A jpg or png format is preferred.

Only work of GAN Subscribers ($25 annually at ganarts.ca/plans-pricing) will be exhibited.

Any media or material can be utilized in your work.

Sizes can range from miniature to approximately 24 x 36,” 2D or 3D.

Artists whose work is selected will be asked to complete an agreement form. Click here to get the form.

A $20 exhibition fee per accepted work is requested.

The artist will allow their work to be curated and shown with that of other GAN artists in a display designed by the GAN Exhibition Committee. This will be based on what the committee believes will make a thematic statement and/or an aesthetically pleasing presentation in the space available.
Events
Art Lab: Mid-January. Collaborative art making, mark making to
music, creating an interactive piece, systems thinking, or…? TBD.
Exhibition Opening: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026
