Facilitators: Gretchen Huntley and Bruce Cudmore
MISSION:
The Poetry Project is a collaborative venture which endeavours to connect burgeoning poets from Berlin, Germany and Gananoque, Canada. In Gananoque, it will consist of 8-10 Newcomers, who meet each Wednesday for 2-4 months.
TPP is free to all participants, and is inclusive of ability, race, gender and sexuality. Participants should have a working/emerging use of English or French. All sessions will take place at GAN (Gananoque Arts Network).
FORMAT:
In the private setting of Gananoque Arts Network (GAN), participants and facilitators will discuss experiences related to becoming Newcomers in Canada. To accommodate the International connection with participants in Berlin, conversations will take place in our local “pod,” but also through email and ZOOM.
Participants are welcome to use pseudonyms or pen-names for anonymity, and no photographs will be taken or used without the express permission of the individual participants. From the discussions, participants will be encouraged to create poetic pieces. Lastly, cold drinks and snacks will be served.
