"Deep Rooted"

Erin Greenwood

For me, the forest is a place I go to find peace.

When I was a child I got to know the many facets of the forest through camping, canoeing and time at my family cottage. As an adult, I explore it in great depths on foot. Though I do not stray far from the beaten path, I am always amazed at the beauty the trees display in all the seasons. It has become a place of deep-rooted serenity for me. A place for reflection and growth. Surrounded by trees, my eye explores the unending depth, layers and colours the forest gifts us and, if I'm ever so lucky, I catch its beauty in a photograph.
