The Poetry Project (TPP) – The Poetry Project is a collaborative venture which endeavours to connect burgeoning poets from Berlin and Gananoque. In Gananoque, it will consist of 8–10 newcomers, who meet each Wednesday for 2-4 months at GAN (Gananoque Arts Network). “The idea is to mentor recently arrived immigrants and refugees with being able to put their experiences into poetry” says project director Dennis O’Connor. The goal of the project is to complete a book that tells immigrant stories to help build acceptance for those who left home to come here. For more information contact Dennis at designlives1954@gmail.com.
